Outdoor experiences start almost in the middle of town. Walk to Varden in under an hour and enjoy stunning views of fjords and mountains. If you prefer the water, the area offers great conditions for kayaking between the Molde islets and out to Hjertøya – Romsdal’s favourite island escape. For more pace and adventure, you’ll find climbing, mountain hikes like the Molde 7 Topper trail, and demanding routes such as Romsdalseggen. The famous Trollstigen is also within easy driving distance.
