Checked Baggage

If you have baggage included or not, depends on your ticket type. If travelling in Smart, Flex or Full Flex you have at least one checked bag included. Mini-tickets does not included checked baggage. You can easily add more baggage to your booking in My Trips.

If you are traveling with a golf bag, smaller musical instruments or sports equipment only (no other checked baggage), you may check in this free of charge if baggage is included in your ticket.

If the included checked baggage is too heavy (more than 23 kg) you will be charged an overweight fee. Find overweight charges here

If the baggage is larger than 158 cm, or weighs 32,1-45 kg and cannot be separated into smaller items, it can be sent as special baggage. Find special baggage charges here. All other baggage larger than 158 cm or weighing more than 32 kg and can be separated into smaller items must be sent as cargo

We recommend that valuable belongings (e.g. passports, laptops, money, medicine, jewelry, cameras, keys, etc.) are not packed in checked baggage, but in the carry-on baggage instead.

Add more baggage

If you need to check in more baggage, you can easily add this in My Trips. Remember to book your baggage well in advance as our cargo hold has limited capacity on certain airplanes.

Widerøes aircraft has limited hold capacity and that is why any special baggage (including pets) more than 23 kg and 158 cm might be on standby (apart from skies). This means that they may not be accepted on the same flight as yourself, but will be sent on the next flight with available hold capacity.

If you are bringing special baggage on your flight, please read the rules for special baggage.

If you are bringing your pet on the next flight you must make a special baggage reservation. Read more about traveling with pets.
