Dangerous goods
Dangerous goods are substances or articles that pose a risk to people, property or the environment, due to their chemical or physical properties.
Widerøe does not transport dangerous goods. See the full list of dangerous goods in the table below.
Lithium batteries
Lithium batteries are used as energy source to a variety of consumer goods eg. mobile phones, children toys, computers and medical equipment. The batteries can generate a great amount of heat if short circuited, or may catch fire if damaged. Therefore lithium batteries are considered dangerous goods that can pose a safety risk. E-cigarettes
E-cigarettes (including e-cigars, e-pipes, other personal vaporizers) containing batteries must be individually protected to prevent accidental activation.
- E-cigarettes are not allowed to be used or charged onboard
- Not Permitted in or as checked baggage
- Permitted in or as carry-on baggage
Alcoholic beverages
Alcoholic beverages, when in retail packaging, containing more than 24% but not more than 70% alcohol by volume, in receptacles not exceeding 5 L, with a total net quantity per person of 5 L. Alcoholic beverages containing 24% or less alcohol by volume are not subject to any restrictions. When alcohol beverages are transported in checked baggage it should be packed to minimize the possibility of breaking or leakage

Prohibited items
A number of items are prohibited on Widerøe flights because of the risk they pose to the aircraft or the people on board.
Some prohibited items can be transported as checked baggage, but special rules might apply.
