What can you see and do on your trip to Stavanger?

Stavanger's charming city center is perfect for a leisurely stroll. The white wooden houses and cozy cafes create a delightful atmosphere. Be sure to visit Fargegata, “the color street”, in the heart of the city center. Fargegata is the result of a creative project that began in 2005. The goal was to create a vibrant and attractive area in downtown Stavanger, and they have definitely succeeded. Enjoy a fresh cup of coffee in the colorful street or check out the unique shops around the area. Maybe you’ll find a souvenir to bring home?

Geopark and Oil Museum

If you want to learn more about the region's important history in the Norwegian oil adventure, we recommend a visit to the Oil Museum. The exhibition provides an insight into the entire history of the oil search in Norway, and what it's like to work on an oil rig in the North Sea today. Outside the museum lies the Geopark, a giant playground. Geopark was designed based on objects and elements from the oil industry. A guaranteed fun experience for the kids.
