Island hopping in Gothenburg's Archipelago

Family friendly activities in Gøteborg 

Liseberg

Liseberg, Scandinavia's largest amusement park, welcomes around 3 million visitors each year. With its thrilling rides, exciting events, and delicious restaurants, you're guaranteed a day of family fun!

From gentle carousels for little ones to thrilling roller coasters that will even make the bravest adults hold on tight, Liseberg has it all. In Kaninland, kids can enjoy a magical world of rabbits, complete with a theater, games, and songs. For an extra thrill, visit the park in October. Halloween at Liseberg features spooky attractions like a haunted hotel and an enchanted forest, filled with mysterious creatures lurking in the darkness.

Slottsskogen

Bring the family to one of Gothenburg's largest, oldest, and most popular parks! Slottsskogen offers beautiful paths, playgrounds, and large green areas perfect for picnics. The park also houses one of Sweden's oldest zoos. Come visit the animals of the North and learn about animal conservation and the natural world. The zoo is open year-round and is free of charge! If you're lucky, you might catch one of the animal feedings. Be sure to visit one of the park's cozy cafes while you're there!

Maritime Museum and Aquarium

At the Maritime Museum, you'll find exciting exhibits on from the history of shipping, to fashion inspired by the sea. Many exhibits are designed for children, ensuring they can enjoy the museum too. The aquarium offers a chance to learn about the ocean, see colorful fish, and explore living coral reefs.

Airport information 

Widerøe flies to Gøteborg airport, Landvetter (GOT). The airport is located approximately 25 kilometres from the city centre, and estimated travel time is 20 minutes. Options for travel are bus, car and taxi. The airport has only one terminal for arrival and departure.
