Mosjøen

Mosjøen is a traditional commercial centre at Helgeland. Located by the foot of the enormous mountain Øyfjellet, it is a perfect resort for anyone who desires hiking in challenging surroundings. The two rivers Skjerva and Vefsna run right through town. Even though Vefsna is most famous for being one of the best sea trout rivers in the country, you can also catch salmon here - in the middle of town! Make sure you see the beautiful wooden houses in Sjøgata. These houses date back to the 18th century and make up the longest continuous line of wooden houses in the North of Norway. Other activities you may enjoy are golf, horseback riding, canoeing and go carts. And of course you get here with a Widerøe flight.
