Why should you fly to Bardufoss?

Fly to Bardufoss if you enjoy outdoor activities in beautiful scenery. Bardufoss has excellent conditions for everything from fishing in the mountain lakes with flies to trolling for lake trout. You can get into wading boots and get close to the water in Bardu River or try your luck in the pools with worms on the hook if you don?t want to rent a boat and troll for the big fish on the major lakes. A good catch is almost guaranteed! Canoeing downstream on Bardu River will give you peace of mind, but you can easily get excited by throwing the hook into the water and feel the fish bite.
Fly to Bardufoss in the summertime, and you may see a lot of fish and birds. The area is breeding ground for many bird species. If you are lucky, you get a glimpse of rarities like the snowy owl and smew between the more common observations of the black-throated loon, golden eagles and rough-legged hawk.
Polar Zoo gives you a close encounters with amazing big and small animals that like it up north, but are so shy that you rarely encounter them randomly while on tour. Wolf, lynx, wolverine and musk are some of the fascinating creatures you would like to have on the other side of a fence when you're up close.
